Description:
At seventeen minutes past midnight on the Saltmere Hotel’s last night, a sealed guest room rings the desk. The clerk recognises the voice. He went to the pianist’s funeral nineteen years ago. You take over his shift with an electrician’s scribbled repair notes and four loose lines on a brass switchboard. Once you trace the call, you can try three rehearsal reels on a tape deck, moving the starting mark and changing the speed until four small sounds line up. My favourite deduction comes on the floor plan. One member of staff can get to the phone in time, but try walking them to their next signed duty. The complete game is free to play in English or Chinese, takes around 15–25 minutes, and saves your notes and progress. Every audio clue has a printed equivalent.
