Description: You deploy troops onto a small grid, support them with action cards, and win by defeating every enemy unit. Between battles you earn coins and reshape your deck.
This is an early alpha with ten levels, thirteen demons, an endless mode and two difficulties, Normal and Hard. The demon art is adapted from the engravings in the 1863 Dictionnaire Infernal, and the military art comes from the Dictionnaire raisonné du mobilier français (1858–1875). This is the first public release, and I hope you enjoy it!
Demons and pacts
- Demons are the heart of the game, and each one has its own abilities.
- To bring a demon onto the battlefield you must sacrifice one of your units. Make a pact, though, and the demon waits in your hand, ready to play without a sacrifice.
- Every pact also gives your army a bonus for the whole battle, strong enough to turn overwhelming odds.
- The price is steep. One of your units is permanently halved in health and must be placed in your opening formation, and every demon waiting in your hand takes the place of a card you would have drawn.
- A risky strategy… yet the demons claim it pays off. What do you think?
AI
Infernal Tactics is built with AI. I design the game: the mechanics, rules, balance and art direction (every image was handpicked), and I playtest it. I have no programming background, so Claude builds it from my design, including the code, the interface and some of the in-game text.
