We are reaching out to inform you of a upcoming migration of our Storagebox service in Germany. Our Storageboxes has had a great reception and very positive feedback since the inception of this service. Our location in Germany has long been out of stock due to us being unable to meet the demand. However, a feedback we've heard often is the sometimes limited bandwidth due to being a 1 Gbps server, we've listened, and this changes soon.

We are upgrading our Storagebox servers to new improved hardware, which should give better performance, and most importantly we'll be adding 2x10 Gbps networking uplinks for a 20 times greater theoretical output of our current servers, which should greatly improve upload and download speeds even during the highest congestion times.

It is expected that the new server will be available in 2-3 weeks. The exact details on how the migration will proceed is not yet determined. We will do what we can to ensure as seamless of a transition as possible, and we expect little to no downtime period. We will reach out with further information on how the migration will proceed as the details are fleshed out.

All the data migration will be handled by us, the only thing you'll need to do once the migration completes is to use another server IP as this will change. This will also be sent in a follow-up e-mail. Due to several hundreds of terabytes of data needs to be migrated do expect that the migration period to last up to a month. All data will still be available during the period.

There will be no price hike to your service as part of this upgrade.
