.al zone has some requirements:

A domain name is a set of alphanumeric characters that includes the letters A to Z, the numbers 0 to 9, and the minus sign “-”.

From a syntactical point of view, the following domain names cannot be registered when:
The names consist of one character;
The names begin or end with a minus sign “-”;
The names consist of more than 63 characters;
The names begin with two alphanumeric characters followed by two minus signs (format “xy–”).
